Silver Ore is used to produce Silver Ingots used by RedPower 2, IndustrialCraft 2, Thermal Expansion and Factorization. It can also be processed for Silver Dust in either a Macerator, Pulverizer or Rock Crusher. In the pulverizer it further more has a 5 % chance of yielding a pile of pulverized lead. If processed in a Slag Furnace it will also yield a Lead Ingot.

If using the Factorization, Silver Ore can be found between y-level 7 and 55. It generates in fairly large blobs that are bigger than coal veins. However, it is somewhat rare. Only one silver ore vein can be found in a chunk, and most chunks don't have one.

The Direwolf20 modpack uses the Thermal Expansion configurable ore generation, and is by default configured to spawn silver ore at levels 15 to 35 in clusters of size 7.
